What is EMLA Cream 5%? EMLA Cream 5% is a local anaesthetic cream that contains a combination of two active ingredients, lidocaine and prilocaine. It is used to numb the skin to reduce pain or discomfort caused by certain medical procedures.

Directions for Use:

1. Clean and dry the area where the cream will be applied.
2. Apply a thick layer of EMLA Cream 5% on the skin, covering the area completely.
3. Cover the cream with an occlusive dressing if directed by your healthcare provider.
4. Leave the cream on for the recommended amount of time before the procedure.

Warnings:

• Avoid getting the cream in contact with the eyes, inside the ears, nose, mouth, or genitals.
• Do not apply EMLA Cream 5% on irritated or broken skin.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Consult a doctor before using this cream if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
